They’re not bad kids.
After years of struggling to access the needed support for my own family, I’m determined to change the world. Is that too big of a goal? Maybe. But here we are.
Kids who have experienced the loss of their first family, foster care, and adoption will likely also experience effects of that for years to come. As parents who have adopted through the state foster care system, when we say our children need more supports, we need to be heard.
Our kids deserve every opportunity to succeed.
They’re not misbehaving on purpose. They’re not choosing a bad path.
They’re communicating that they need help.
AND WE NEED ACCESS TO HELP.
If you’re an Oregon parent who has adopted from the foster care system and has struggled to access the appropriate supports for your child’s mental or behavioral health, please fill out the form below if you’d like to be part of making change.
